Montgomery Alabama Real Estate School

  Pre-License Course

The course goal is to enable the participants to perform the operations involved in the practice of real estate in a professional manner in accordance with license law and in a manner that protects the consumer. Emphasis is placed on successful completion of Alabama State Real Estate Exam.

Pre-License Course Description  The 60 hour Pre-License Course will be conducted as an 8 week course of instruction. Successful completion of this course will lead to a certificate of completion, which meets the education requirement necessary to take the Alabama's real estate salespersons examination. The course will include a mid-term examination to determine student progress. A final examination comprised of 140 test questions will be given on the final day of class. Students must achieve a passing score of at least 70% on the final exam AND be present for at least 90% of the classroom instruction in order to receive a certificate of completion. In the event a 70% score on the final exam is not achieved, a re-exam will be scheduled on a case by case basis after additional training has been accomplished.

Passing the course and the state real estate exam are not easy and will require studying to learn the terms, concepts, state law, and simple real estate math.  The course and the tests are designed to provide the state with entry level applicants.  Learning the profession will start with "your broker" once your are licensed and the 30 hour post license course.

State law forbids a school from advertising their "success rate" (see below) but suffice it to say that a number of students have taken this course and have not passed the course's final exam or have not passed the state exam on their first try.

Due to classroom size the course is limited to the number of students in any one class.  Advance registration to insure enrollment is recommended.
